FLUTTER - Variations in speed of an audio source that results in higher or lower pitch of the sound, like a tape or vinyl LP where the speed changes slightly.
FREQUENCY - Sound is transmitted through the air as an analogue wave. Each wave consists of a series of peaks, high points and a low points. The time taken for a sound wave to go from the high point to the low point and back to high again is called a Cycle. The Frequency of a signal relates to the distance between these peaks, high or low. The shorter the distance, more peaks travel during any given time, and the higher the frequency. The longer the distance, less peaks travel during any given time and the frequency is low. Treble has a high frequency while Bass has a low frequency.
